What is SCIM
SCIM is a standard protocol designed to simplify the management of user identities and other resources. It provides a common language and set of rules for creating, updating, and deleting resources across different systems. This helps organizations manage user identities more efficiently across their application landscape.
The protocol is primarily used for managing users, groups, and the relationships between them (i.e. group memberships). However, SCIM does not restrict you from introducing new resource types.
SCIM is defined in rfc7643 and rfc7644.
